It is recommended to use specified solar wires for your PV system.
Here are basic differences due to which using solar wire is recommended:
Insulation: Solar cables normally have double insulation since they are to be kept in open.
UV Protection: Since wires of PV system are mostly exposed to sunlight hence solar wires are UV protected.
Warranty Years: Solar Panels have warranty of 25 Years hence we need wires that have this much of Warranty. Normal wired does not provide us with this warranty. Only solar Cables provide us with this warranty.
Current Carrying Capacity: Solar Wires have higher current carrying capacity than normal wires which is important for solar PV system.
